Memento Vitae team bowling

Unlike our regular posts, this one won’t be about philosophy, ethics of AI, or building legacies.
This post is actually about fun, and they joy that Memento Vitae people bring to one another.

Although whole our team is based in Serbia (majority of us are located in Belgrade), we work fully remotely.
The moments when we meet each other are rather seldom – but the more seldom they are, when they happen, the more cherished they get.

One such occasion happened yesterday, when extended Memento Vitae team met in Zemun for two hours of bowling.
Actually, it wasn’t all about bowling – for example, Anja, our new Social Networks manager came all the way from Novi Sad, so she could meet the rest of the team for the very first time.
It was also about great time spent together, learning about Tereza’s diet (and great spices she uses), meeting Tijana’s kids (definitely the most charming part of our group) and Novak’s new hair style.

As for the bowling results – since there were 11 of us, we had to split in two lanes. In the first lane, Novak’s skill was uncontested – he won by a great margin, ahead of Tijana (and her kids), and two more players, whose names we agreed to keep secret.
The competition in the 2nd lane was much more thrilling, as Jelena’s, Anja’s, Tereza’s, Vuk’s and Misha’s skills were all on practically same level.
In the end, despite problems with his back, Vuk won, by a minute margin.

Nikola of Colloseum bowling center was a great host, pizzas were also great (though the chilly one was way too hot!).

A great evening out, with the people I enjoy working with. Although we spend so much time with AI, this is a nice example that we all need human touch, more than anything else.
